Nosara is the oldest expatriate community of Costa Rica . It was established in 1968 by a gruop of americann investors , what was originally planed as a golf course country club has now become an eco-community where residents live in harmony  with the natural surroundings of the  Costa Rican jungle.

The recent opening of the  Liberia International Airport  in Guanacaste  has  made Nosara more  accessible than ever, at just a 2 hour drive  away from the hub.
Domestic  carriers  Sansa and Nature Air have expanded their reach to Nosara, offering multiple daily round-trip flights to San Jose. What was once a 5 hour drive  is now a 30 minute flight.
